Things to do in Eufaula

Tour historic homes in downtown Eufaula. Mark the first weekend in April for Eufaula Pilgrimage which includes home tours and residents in period costume.  There is also a  Holiday tour of homes the first week in December. 

Bird watching is great this time of year as the area has migratory birds and birds  building spring nests. Spring is great for fishing and hunting in the area is still an option. Play a round of golf. go bowling or enjoy the local shops. We are located on the city hike and bike trail so bring your bikes or rent one from us. Every week brings more foliage and flowers as we get closer to spring.  

The newly opened Eufaula Bowling and Event Center is just minutes away from the campground. There are evening and weekend bowling hours. The campground provides a great base camp for your next hunting trip. Bow hunting is particularly popular at the Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge. For more information on hunting leases check with Alabama Forestry http://www.afoa.org/hunt.html 

 The community of Eufaula has two public golf courses- the county club of Alabama and the Eufaula Country Club.   We are happy to arrange tee times for our guests.  

The Campground Hiking Trail is open for guest use. The trail is a great way to observe local birds, wild flowers and see the ponds. Many guests take a day trip to Providence Canyon in Georgia. The canyon is about 30 minutes away by car. 

Eufaula is 2 hours away from a day at the beach. Panama City provides the closest access to the Gulf.
